Constituency Relations
The MCC East Coast Region consists of more than 1,000 constituent congregations with about 102,000 members representing a wide diversity of Mennonite, Brethren in Christ, Amish and United Zion groups. These constituents provide MCC's primary support and are program partners in the East Coast. The East Coast Constituency Relations/Communications staff work to maintain and improve connections with these groups in a number of ways. They provide resources for education, speakers for events and coordinate the representation of MCC at events held in the region. MCC East Coast Assistant Director Ken Sensenig gives leadership to these efforts with assistance from Millie Nafziger.
Andrew Bodden, MCC East Coast's Diverse Constituency Relations Coordinator/Program Coordinator, focuses his efforts on strengthening MCC's connections with Latino, African American and New Immigrant churches throughout the East Coast. He has extensive connections within these communities and works at this from the MCC South Florida office.
Larry Guengerich, as Communications Coordinator leads efforts toward making sure staff, board, constituents and supporting organizations get current MCC information as well as working to promote the work of MCC in media outlets. He is supported by DeAnna Martin in this work. One important function is coordinating the use of MCC East Coast staff in speaking engagements throughout the region. A full list of speakers and their bios are available for assignments can be found at the following.
The MCC EC Ephrata Office, which shares a building with MCC's Material Resources Center, provides a connecting point for nearly half of the MCC East Coast constituents, who live within a 50 mile radius of Ephrata, Pa.
