Summer Service Program

Summer Service Program

The Summer Service Program is for young adult constituents of color between the ages of 18-30 who are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, such as African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic and Native American, to serve with a church or service agency in their home communities for a short period of time, either 10 weeks or 5 weeks or less. Participants work in a variety of areas including leading and staffing summer camps, tutoring school age children, summer GED programs, and community outreach efforts. Funding for the program comes from MCC U.S. and local congregations.
