MCC East Coast Program Philosophy

-Working closely with constituent churches as primary partners

-Responding to the vision, strength and needs of local communities, as identified by local church leaders

-Building on the assets present in the local communities

-Strategically and effectively using MCC EC's limited resources to help fuel the creative program growth coming from local communities

-Seeking service workers from within and from outside the community in order to foster cross fertilization of ideas and experience

-Seeking to build capacity in constituent churches, agencies and institutions as they provide wholistic witnesses in their communities

-Providing service, leadership development and peace and justice witness as keys parts of the unique ministry MCC East Coast provides to local communities
